Program Overview

FWHFC provides immigration, citizenship, and refugee support services for low-income individuals and families across Florida. Our services are designed to help eligible clients understand available options, prepare for next steps, and connect with appropriate legal, social, housing, education, and employment resources.

Important Notice: An initial consultation does not guarantee legal representation. Some immigration filings may require separate USCIS filing fees.

Citizenship & Naturalization Services

FWHFC assists eligible lawful permanent residents who are ready to apply for U.S. citizenship. The naturalization process is an important final step in an immigration journey, and our team helps clients prepare carefully.

  • Citizenship prescreening
  • Document review and intake preparation
  • Form N-400 naturalization application support
  • Fee waiver screening when applicable
  • Medical exemption review when applicable
  • Case review support for complex immigration histories
  • Workshops and community education

Naturalization Process

1. Prescreening

FWHFC collects basic information and requests copies of documents needed to determine whether the case can move forward.

2. Intake

Clients may be scheduled for a phone or video intake to review immigration history, eligibility, possible fee waiver needs, and any medical exemption concerns.

3. Application Preparation

When appropriate, FWHFC helps prepare the Form N-400 naturalization application and supporting materials.

4. Review and Submission

Completed application packages may be reviewed before being signed and mailed or submitted to USCIS, depending on the case and available services.
